My proudest moment was to be an Assistant Referee at the Matthew Le Tissier testimonial match at St Mary?s against an

England X1.I also officiated the Wessex League Cup Final and the  Southampton Senior Cup Final all in the same year as the testimonial.

My personal moments would be Mike Misselbrook convincing me I could run the Eastleigh 10k & Great South Run which I did for 6 years.  Refereeing numerous Ex Saints matches, finally being able to get this year?s attendees to Conference felt proud Hampshire was recognized by everyone from all over England and great friendships developed over the last 19 years.

Running my first London Marathon in 3hrs 10mins in 1991, have managed four more since then!
Refereeing the Southampton Sunday Senior Cup Final in 2008 and being elected onto Southampton RA.

One of my big memories was refereeing a Kenya Premier League match in the national stadium (Nyo) in Nairobi in 2006. The match was between Mathare Youth and Mombasa Port Authority and there had been history between them unknown to me. I had to dismiss one player for violent conduct and caution 2 other.

Has to be the new Southampton RA website as I think it will benefit the whole of the society, also appearing on TV when I was 11.

Since I qualified in 2007, I have met a lot of good people, visited many good places & with the support of the Southampton RA have progressed up the Refereeing pyramid.

What am I proud of?

How about when Matt le Tissier met me, at St Marys Corporate Games,or when I Refereed my first Sydenhams Wessex Football match and when I went to the RA Conference this summer as an SRA Member

What I remember most though with our group is being given the Norrie Stride Award for New Referees in the area. Very surprised & humbled that night, with many fine colleagues named on the trophy.

Mostly though, I take a pride in how we conduct ourselves and seek to help the members.

I am so pleased that I took up the whistle after so many years as a player, and now being part of the Southampton Referee Association, this has benefited me immensely.

Have officiated in Two Cup Finals as an Assistant Referee to date, and was pleased to receive my 1st FA Cup appointment this season.
