Referees Forum
Start Discussion
This session of about 20 minutes each meeting from 7.00pm onwards is designed to give a better understanding of the application of Law to the newer/younger referee. The topics vary and are driven by requests from those newer referees. Topics range from Inspecting the Match Ball to Managing Penalty Kicks or from The Toss up Ceremony to Instructing Club Assistants.
Topics are discussed in detail and best practice is arrived at through discussion. It also acts as a problem solving session where the referees can themselves bring forward match incidents that may be causing them concerns. The feedback is that it works very well for the newer referee and gives them more of an insight into how to handle match incidents.
